Our Hotel
The Hotel des Messageries in Arbois has been established in 1865 in a former postal relay
- It is a member of the independant hotel association Logis de France since 2020.
- it is located in the very heart of the city, facing the Pasteur Promenade, close to all good tables, winemakers, museum, and shops of our lovely and very dynamic city, offering Nature, Wineyards & Gastronomie
Spirit of the place
The Hotel des Messageries has been welcoming travelers for 160 years, and is managed by its owners.
- We live on site to welcome you and ensure you a comfortable stay, as we thrive to meet your needs as best as possible.
- Our bedrooms and common areas have been renovated, trying to respect the old charm of the place while ensuring you a cosy stay:
- For lovers of "old stones" and a "family home" atmosphere, with its crooner background music
- A comfy lounge on the 1st floor enables you to gather between colleagues, families or friends.

All different, our 18 soundproofed small bedrooms have been renovated while keeping in mind the authenticity of the place allied with a modern comfort

Accessibility
- The bedrooms are located on 2 upper floors in our hotel, served by a staircase.
- They are not accessible by lift.

Transportation & distances
Going to and from Arbois:
The Hotel is 1.1km from the train station in the direction of the city cente, 200m from the main city square "Place de la Liberté".
Arbois is located on the N83:
- 10 mn drive from Poligny, Salins Les Bains , and Mouchard (High speed train station - line Paris-Lausanne)
- approximately 33 km from Dole (gare TGV), Lons Le Saunier, 24 km from Champagnole, 44 km from Besançon, 79km from Geneva airport
- We can book taxis for you.
Where to park?
- Parking is free in the streets of Arbois, and you will find many spots around the Hotel.
- Should you nonetheless with to secure your vehicule in the evening, we put at your disposal a private garage, fully closed from 8pm to 7/7.30 am, for €8 per car / night, €4 for motorbikes, free for bikes.
How to settle your bill
Means of payment accepted:
- Main Credit cards, American Express, and cash. .
- You can also settle part or all of the bill in advance by bank transfer, or credit card.
Pets
Although we are animal lovers, our family friendly pets are not accepted in the premises of the Hotel. Thank you for your understanding. (Do not hesitate to contact us though).
